Thank you for visiting UWICOM's website. I'm Minjoo Lee, CEO of UWICOM.
According to the World Health Organization, roughly 1.5 billion people worldwide currently live with some degree of hearing loss, and without meaningful intervention, that figure is projected to affect one in four people globally by 2050. Hearing loss tends to progress gradually and often goes unnoticed until it has already taken a real toll on daily communication and social relationships. Here in Korea, growing noise exposure across daily life is driving the hearing-loss population up by roughly 8% a year, a trend that goes well beyond individual health and has become a challenge our whole society needs to face together.
UWICOM was founded on the belief that hearing difficulties should never limit a person's dignity or their ability to take part in society. Recognizing that hearing loss looks different for every person and every situation, we didn't want to build a one-size-fits-all amplifier so we developed Genisori, a voice amplifier with seven selectable modes designed to match a wide range of hearing-loss types and environments. Built on that philosophy, Genisori is now making a difference at over 500 public institutions, hospitals, and financial institutions nationwide places where clear communication is inseparable from social responsibility.
We believe a company's growth can't be separated from the social value it creates, and we take seriously our responsibility to expand access to information and social participation for older adults and people with hearing loss. Genisori's seven modes let each user choose the sound profile that fits their own situation our way of moving beyond one-size-fits-all products toward a service that responds to every individual. This is also at the heart of our approach to ESG: we believe it means little as a statement and everything as a practice.
We no longer see hearing loss as a private, individual matter in an aging society, it's a challenge we all share. As a company that thinks seriously about technology, ethics, and social responsibility together, UWICOM hopes to play a small part in building a more inclusive society where everyone can hear clearly and communicate as equals.
We're grateful for your continued trust and interest, and we'll keep working to earn it. Thank you.
